Hello to everyone in Killearn.
I stay in Fife, which isn't bad, but Killearn looks nicer.

Hello,
My name is Valeria Ducard. I live in Argentina.
I visited Killearn on May 2004 looking for things my mother and grandmother have told me about. I´m seeking info about family or fiernds they might have there.
They owned a marketplace called Paton & Co. Their name was Mc Duff Paton and lived in Killearn all their lives until 1942 when they moved to Argentina. My mother Elisabeth Mary Mendrek daugther of Ann Duff Paton lived in Killearn for many years. Helen PAton was my aunt, my granny Ann married Woicej Mendrek, a polish officer being 41 years old. Ann and her sister lived with their mother there and ran the shop. Their address was: Balcklands... A house which we found exacltly as the black and white photograph we had. The shop building also exists but is now a butcher´s shop and an automatic cash expender.
I wonder if you have any further information about those times, the shop or friends they might have or familiy that is still there.
Anything you can tell me about them will be exquisitely received. My mother passed away being 42 years old and also my grandmother at the age of 93.
My sister and I travelled to Killearn with our husbands on may 2005, we spent a glorious day in Killearn remembering all the wonderfull things my mother and grandmother had told us about. We enjoyed every minute and every memory. My mother could never return... but we did, and it was very touching.

I am seeking information on Rev James Craig, Minister of Killearn about 1700. I am interested in his wife and children's names or similar. Did he die in Killearn?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Gordon,
Killearn looks very familiar, but not sure if I ever visited there. When I was living in Glasgow the only time we took a trip was with the Sunday School, and how sad. As there is so many things I would like to have done while still in Glasgow. Fishing for one, and hiking.

Love your webpages. I'll be back.
